About Niteflight
Formed in 1989 with members from St. Kitts and
Trinidad. This world class band brings its sweet Caribbean rhythms of
reggae, soca and calypso to the North American Mid-West. Their primary
influence has been the steel drum, calypso and soca music which was invented
and developed in Trinidad and Tobago. The band has since grown to include
additional members adding a new dimension of energetic vocals to its already
exuberant and flamboyant sound.
Many of the band’s charter members performed with the Grammy award nominee
Trinidad Tripoli Steel Orchestra, including Music Makers of St. Kitts, 21st
Century Steel Band and the Carnival Cruise Lines. With many years of
experience touring and entertaining the massive crowds worldwide, NiteFlight
brings its rhythmic beats and flowing vibes of Caribbean music to its
hometown in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
